Bungeoppang (pronounced as boong-uh-ppang), means "carp bread," which originated from the Japanese taiyaki. It is a fish-shaped winter snack but is eaten throughout the year. How To Make Bungeoppang:
1. In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt. Add some water and mix it well. 2. Use a strainer to pass the ingredients through to obtain a smooth, lump-free batter. 3. Bring the bungeoppang pan to high heat and then reduce it to low.4. Remove the pan from the oven and lightly brush the lower and upper fish molds with oil.5. Fill the fish mold with batter half of the way up one side. The batter should surround the filling.6. Put 1 tablespoon of sweet red beans in the center and carefully fill the remaining space with fish mold so that the red beans are completely covered. 7. Cover the mold and cook it for 2 minutes at a low flame.8. Turn the dish over and cook the other side for a further 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. 9. Take it out carefully and serve it warm.
