Sources close to the production told Entertainment Tonight that the 68-year-old actor will be signing off after Season 5, following reports of alleged drama between the star and co-creator Taylor Sheridan over filming commitments to the remaining episodes of the current season.

According to ET sources, there is still no update on when the cast and crew are going to return to Montana to finish shooting the remaining episodes of Season 5, and "as a result, there's been a lot of confusion and frustration."
He and the cast also did not appear at the show's panel at PaleyFest in Los Angeles.
The news also comes as it was announced that Kevin Costner has split with his wife, Christine Costner, after 18 years of marriage.
Kevin Costner's lawyer responded to that initial bombshell Yellowstone report, suggesting Kevin, who plays patriarch John Dutton on the series, apparently only "wanted to spend a week shooting."
